Purple Power: Use it on everything.

Retailers superseding brand marketers makes a lot of sense… sometimes. Retailers deal directly with customers. But brand decisions are frequently made independent of consumers. And these decisions are almost always bad. This sign, however, is awesome. It has a certain… authenticity that so much marketing lacks. (via: Brandflakes for Breakfast)

See also: KFC franchise owners are suing Yum Brands for control over advertising. Apparently sales are slumping and no one is buying the grilled chicken that’s so central to KFC’s messaging lately. I can understand why. It looks terrible.
